Cheesy, buttery, with just the right amount of garlic and herbs (and made with white whole wheat four!)... You have got to make these.
- 2 cups flour (all purpoase, but I used white whole wheat with great results!)
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 3 Tbsp butter flavored crisco
- 2 Tbsp cold butter
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 1/2cups grated sharp cheddar
To make these biscuits out-of-this-world scrumptious, melt some butter while the biscuits are baking. Add some garlic and herbs (I used an Italian herb mix) to the butter and brush on the tops of the biscuits as soon as they come out of the oven.
